About the Event

Lee County Sheriff's Office is hosting the Instructor Development Course.

Law Enforcement Agencies are constantly being challenged to offer a wide range of training and development for law enforcement officers. To provide this training, agencies must develop trainers who are not only experts in their fields but who also have mastered the art of sharing this information with others. To be a successful instructor, you must possess more skills than just the knowledge and experience of a topic.

This seminar allows the trainer to learn what is involved in developing and presenting a class. The class will include:

  • Assessing the need for training/topic

  • How to research lesson guides/plans

  • How to write lesson guides/plans
