This course will consist of a HEAVY emphasis on LEGAL justification and theory for actions taken by police. Also, students will learn common misconceptions and misinformation among police that leads to exclusion of evidence and potential lawsuits.

Length: 8 hours, approved for APOST CEU’s if also approved by your department head.
This course is designed to enable officers to conduct more professional, efficient and safe traffic stops. You will learn how to use court-defensible technology to help control the outcome of every traffic citizen contact, reduce sustainable officer complaints, as well as tactics to ensure officer safety. How racial and cultural differences can affect citizens’ perception of police officers and how best to interact to avoid misunderstandings will also be discussed.
